Between 2001 and 2011, Matic released seven pop-folk albums, including Prokleta Je Violina (2001), Zbogom Ljubavi (2003), and X Zajedno (2011). During this period, he also toured both domestically and internationally.He and Serbian pop-folk vocalist Rada Manojlovic recorded a 2010 duet titled "Mesaj, Mala."Early in his career, Matic became known for performing the songs of Bosnian folk singer and songwriter Haris Dzinovic.
